IBISKA holds a large multi-year Network Support contract with a Federal Government client in the National Capital Region. As a result we have ongoing requirements for Network Support Specialists with good verbal communications skills that can demonstrate at least 5 years of IT support services and hold, or are eligible for, a Federal Government security clearance. Some positions require the ability to communicate in English and French.
Responsibilities include:
- Install, configure and support workstations, laptops, mobile devices and network peripherals such as printers, scanners, etc.;
- Install, upgrade and support computer workstations, laptops, mobile components including CPU, memory, network cards, hard drives, etc.;
- Install, configure and support operating systems, application software and various automation tools and utilities on workstations, laptops and mobile devices;
- Perform hardware life-cycle management under the guidance of a Senior Network Support Specialist;
- Develop and maintain update technical documentation;
- Perform problem analysis, troubleshoot hardware and software issues and work with other IT team members when required; and
- Ensure that IM/IT tickets are resolved in a timely manner while effectively communicating to the clients during the entire process. Log, update and close IM/IT tickets.
Experience Required – MUST HAVE:
- Demonstrated experience in using systems management software for logging and updating support tickets;
- 5 years or more of experience installing and supporting Windows XP, 7, 8 or higher;
- Experience providing end user support for the record and document management tools such as RDIMS/ Hummingbird DM or GCDOCS;
- Experience providing technical support for Blackberry, IOS and Android mobile devices;
- 5 years or more of experience installing and supporting Outlook 2003 or higher;
- 5 years or more of experience using remote administration and support tools;
- Experience providing technical and administrative support for IM/IT Security systems such as McAfee, Entrust Identity Guard or PKI; and
- 5 years or more of experience providing problem support to users in a Microsoft Windows/Office environment
Multiple positions available:
- Some positions require ability to communicate orally and in writing in both Official Languages of Canada (English & French);
- All positions require over 5 years of experience;
- Security clearance required: Enhanced Reliability, or Secret level II, or Top Secret
