IBISKA commits to being net-zero across its Scope 2 and Scope 3 emissions by 2040 or earlier
We are pleased to announce that in February 2023, IBISKA joined Environment and Climate Change Canada’s (ECCC’s) Net-Zero Challenge, which requires companies to develop and implement a plan to reach net-zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050 in accordance with the Paris Agreement.
We have come a long way in the last couple of months in establishing IBISKA’s Greenhouse Gas (GHG) emissions baseline which has served as our Net-Zero starting point. We are working with sustainability consultants to identify our biggest emission categories and chart IBISKA’s pathway to Net-Zero, including defining our reduction strategies and setting interim targets.
Significant action is crucial to reduce global emissions quickly enough to avoid worst-case-scenario climate outcomes. We are confident that, together, IBISKA can do our part and reach Net-Zero by (or before) 2050.
