In early December, IBISKA teamed up with the Shoebox Project for Shelters to contribute gifts packaged in shoeboxes for distribution to women’s shelters just before the Christmas holidays.
Stephanie Katz (far right) spearheaded this initiative and led our team in the collection of toiletries, winter wear, gift certificates, and other practical items to fill our decorated shoeboxes. The IBISKA staff poured their hearts into collecting items and carefully preparing the shoeboxes with the hope of bringing some warmth and holiday cheers to our less fortunate sisters living in homeless shelters in Ottawa (and across the country).
The project closed on December 13th but there will be an opportunity to participate again next year.
